i'm in my Giada de Laurentiis mode today

tempted to try an italian dish very well loved by..err..everybody?

so..back to basic

i love coffee

i love cheese

i love whipped cream

what more could i asked except for a plate of tiramisu then!!

scrumptiously divine

here's my 1st attemp on homemade tiramisu

and sooo easy it was

cant believe i never learned it earlier

thanks Sarah Hussain for inspiring, hehe

(though i know you disapprove my cheat..hohoho)

want to know how?

1. buat air nescafe (have it strong and sweet)

2.whip some whip cream + sugar (i whipped it until quite stiff)

3. whip some mascarpone cheese + vanilla essence. fold it in the whipped cream

4. dip some ladyfingers in the nescafe (ladyfingers ni biskut omputeh la, bentuk dia panjang2..ni yg saya tipu, psl saya guna biskut lutut..kuang kuang..malas la nak cari ladyfingers [sorry sarah]..nak tukar ngan plain butter cake pon boleh)

5. layer the ladyfingers into a serving dish, top with the cream mix, repeat the processes again

5. top with cocoa powder (nak best lg, use some shaved chocolate..yummy)

6. simpan dlm fridge kasi sejuk..pastu boleh makan tak hengat XD

tadaaa..easy eh? takyah masak2, takyah api2..

actually the whipped cream was also a cheat as the classic recipe calls for some beaten egg whites, but i was so horrified by the idea of eating raw eggs, i ditched it altogether

i know it looked messy..tp kalo en badang makan sampai speechless, siap bile dah habis tanye ade lg tak,then i'm more than satisfied XD

back to Giada, she's kind of someone i admire

passionate about food and cooking, siap dah beranak sorg,but manage to keep fit

i'm still serious about it, and at the same time i cant restrain my love being with the pots and pans..and of coz my love of eating..haihhh.. :)

so for now, i have Giada as my inspiration hokeh..haha..for now

Saya ni..keras di luar, tp taman di dalam..ewahh

Kalo baca buku, saya tak sampai tahap touching2 feeling2..tambah2 lak love story, maka tak best lah tu untuk saya..haha gile

extra points kalo tahap saya leleh2 air mata saya cengeng orgnye, kat umah asik kena gelak ngan en badang je bile nanges tgk tv..hoho

furthermore, my english tak sampai level buku tu, so..my bad :P

Now i'm on the second book, twilight

i've read it halfway actually masa early 2009 kot,

very2 interesting, tahap touching2 feeling saye nih uweekk naza

but it was my sis-in-law's fren's book,

i was at en badang's home at that time, so takle la nak pinjam lama2, buku org

trus putus tak sambung

but en badang knew how much i was into twilight and edward cullen and that vampire lovey dovey stuff haha

so for my birthday that year, he gave me the whole set of the saga

hahaha sronok gile tp sronok2 setahun simpan nih baru nak baca, ngehngehngeh kalo fans lain dah khatam byk kali dah

it's all bout the mood honeyy~ alasan alasan

blum abes baca, but i'm giving it 5 stars of course..duhhh

tp kan, i imagined edward cullen as far better looking than robert pattinson masa mula2 baca dulu..

a bit of disappointment there..teeettt

but kristen stewart is definitely perfect for bella :)

suke la photo ni..sweet in a weird way

furthermore, i'm a believer in 'movie first, book later'

bcos movie adaptation has always been..ermm..well..dissappointing, as compared to the book

for me la

buku sll lg best berganda2 dr movie

so, better to watch the movie first

It was on June 16 2009, about 3 months since we started our swimming lesson

but a few of our staff ada sponsor2 especially pakya n k ida. thanks!!
and all engineer level agreed to pay just a tad bit more so that the designer level and below dont have to pay as much
all in all, nak kasi sume rasa bende baru dn mmg uh..best ah!
i ordered pandan layer cake from k niza proposal gak for the aug and sept bsdays
pun ramai tak penah try
so nak kasi cube sbb mmg sedap jugee saye taula kan~~
for the drinks, nor akan buat air asam boi die yg best tuh

This Saturday, I'm going to cook beef stew to feed a crowd of 40 (maybe more..agaga)
A bit nervous on the portion size
Hopefully my rough estimations of 3.5 kg meat, 1.5 kg each for carrots, potatoes and celeries are enough,
Considering that there will be other menus made by others; bihun goreng, nasi goreng, KFC fried chicken, side dishes, I actually estimated for 30..

I love beef stew, so does Bad (oh very much) :)
I think it has become one of my signature dishes
The crowd I'll be feeding is Bad's office mates (MMHE)
A few of them are ex-SDE (my workplace that is) and it was one of them who suggested (eagerly) to include my beef stew in their picnic's menu..haha

But I bought myself a pressure cooker online, it arrived yesterday
Cant wait to use it
But I bought the cheap one, Empress brand
Still have my eyes on Amway Noxxa electric pressure cooker
But of cos, it costs more..
